MY STORYThough I may not sound quite “from around here,” I was born and raised in the mountains of East Tennessee; I feel the love of this land in my bones. And, for over 15 years, I have combined narrative and education, curiosity and connection to develop a story-based lens for my life and work in East Tennessee.
Emily Katt has performed in multigenerational and multicultural settings throughout the region, and has won awards for multiple genres of her writing.
From personal anecdotes to professional snafus, Emily wants to help you craft your story arc.
MY STORY PHILOSOPHYI believe we are all made of stories, weaving together meaning from the wholemeal of everyday life, our fairydust imaginations, and the spiciness of the people we meet. I trust in the goodness of story to serve as a bridge for humanity, sending forward a buildable legacy to those who would hear our tales for years to come. My dear hope is to add to the archive of story connection.
